Everybody Jungle Body Life

It’s warming up and the evenings are getting longer which means summer is just around the corner. What a time to be alive. Huge, big thanks to you guys for coming along to yet another incredible North v South event. You raised over $300 for the cancer council. Sweet! Also, sweet thanks to Delish Ice and Yagan Square for their invaluable support too.

Things to look forward to, apart from ice cold beverages as the summer takes hold,

Bogan Konga is happening. Yes! On Monday 3rd December join me to raise funds in in support of The Cancer Council. It’s part of something a whole bigger as the ‘Shit Box Rally’ crosses from Perth to Sydney.

So, look out your bogan gear, come along and have a proper laugh. Bring some $$$ for the raffle as prizes include a meat tray and carton of Bush Chook. I’ll stop chuckling long enough to pick ‘best dressed’ Mr & Mrs Bogan on the night and give out the prizes too.

This is a ticket only event so here’s where you buy them. All proceeds on the night will go to the Rally fundraising.

I’d love you to get involved too so if you click here you can vote for your fave Bogan cool down track. “I’ll be riding on the horses yeah yeah”

The thing that really makes these events work is you guys. When you commit, turn up and join in then that’s when the magic happens. I find it’s the same when I make a fit date with a friend. Yes we all have those days when we just don’t feel like going to class but joining forces with a buddy makes all the difference. Don’t just take my word for it though, exercise psychologist Jeff Breckon from the UK reckons having a fit date can work as healthy competition or a role model who can get you out when you don’t feel like it. It creates a sense of responsibility to someone else which boosts motivation for those lazy moments. The social engagement is a massive reward too because when you’re distracted by all that great chat and laughter your perception of how hard you’re working is much less.

The first Project Wellness event was a sell-out, and a complete success. I was joined by 40 incredible women for a work out and we talked about taking an holistic approach to our wellbeing. Heartfelt thanks to these ladies @carlathomas_juicymovement and @the.holistic.pharmacist

If you missed out on a ticket then stay tuned as this was just the beginning. #projectwellness
